At SmileDirectClub, we’re all about making people smile. That’s why we’ll refund the cost of your risk-free impression kit if your dentist determines our aligners aren’t a fit for you. Please reach out to CustomerCare@SmileDirectClub.co.uk if you’d like to pursue a return for an impression kit.
If you decide that our aligners aren’t for you within the first 30 days of receiving them, we’ll provide a full refund (shipping costs not included). Simply ship your remaining aligners back to SmileDirectClub. This is part of our SmileDirectClub Guarantee™. The 30-day time period starts the day your aligners are delivered to you and you register them online in your account.
If you decide that aligners aren’t for you, outside of the first 30 days, you can still return your registered, unused aligners for a prorated refund (based on the percentage of aligners returned unopened and unused). You must have worn your aligners for the prescribed amount of time, have completed regular virtual Smile Check-ins™, and be up-to-date on aligner payments.
Please note: You are responsible for shipping costs when returning aligners.
Aligner return process
Please follow these steps when returning your aligners:
- Pack your unused aligners, in their original bags, to ship back to SmileDirectClub.
- Contact our Customer Care team at 0800 031 8113 to initiate the return process.
- SmileDirectClub needs proof of shipment to honour a refund, so please use a trackable carrier like FedEx or UPS. If a shipment is lost by the carrier in transit, SmileDirectClub cannot process your return without shipping verification.
SmileDirectClub Guarantee refunds
Once we receive and process your return, we’ll email you to let you know your refund has been issued. You’ll typically see your refund on your credit card statement within 5 to 10 days of processing, depending on your financial institution. If you signed up for recurring payments, depending on when we receive your return, you may be charged a payment while we process your return.
Your monthly payments will remain the same until your remaining balance has been paid in full. Your term will be reduced based on the number of aligners you have opened and used. This payment will be refunded to you once your return has been processed.
